I goin start my own studio and i was wondering what is a good brand of mixers for someone on a fl studio budget. and also i was wondering is there a certain kind of mic i sould use. i have some mics that are for stage performace i was wondering if they were okay.

As far as mixer i'm not sure what your setup involves but I just bought a new mic stand, cables and mic for 19.95 at musiciansfriend.com

All I was looking for was mic stand but from what i read from the reviews the mic is not bad.. If you have a decent studio mic this might be something your interested in. For mic stands this is a great deal

as far as a mic is concerned your going to want a condenser mic for studio work. id recommend a studio projects C1 or C3 or a Rode NT1 or NT2 to start with.
