No old does not equal suck, but an old crappy plugin is an old crappy plugin.

That thing came out in 2000, just think how far plugins have come in 11 years.

Also NOTHING can add a Neumann sound to an SM57 recording.

There are better plugs out there but like already stated, non can give u the sound of those hi end mics. Not saying they can't make your modest priced mic sound better but as far as making them sound like the big boyz....NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

nope, if you want a good mic mod, you need a physical mod on your mic. Let me sober up and respond with the mic I am thinking of tomorrow, as it literally was 95% as good as a U67.

Mic mod is nothing more than a filter... Does it work good?... Yes and no

If you have a good mic you can get some really good results but if you have an sm58 don't expect it to sound like a nueman u87 it just isn't going to happen

whos got a neumann u87 lmao..i wanna see a comparison track of it compared to anything under 1000 dollars... I find it hard to believe 3.4k can be justified in a mic.
If i copped a mic for 3 grand it better suck my dick and wash my car.

I have access to a U87, and yea if you are a pro studio it is well worth it.
