Yeah! Word Life.... Merc & Wings is da Truth! It's emabarrassing to see how major labels pick up bullshit like laffy taffy and the hokey pokey and don't give this true soul flow a chance. It kind of reminds of seeing those old films where they used to have that underground jazz movement going on and the beatnicks used to gather in dark bars and clubs just to get their ear on some real shit. Can't load the live at the Ottobar vid, do you have another link? Myspace can be sucky at times to see/listen to things...
Props on keeping it true and original (not watered down/bling/gangster/negative), hopefully we'll see more and more of this in '07 and beyond. Other than a few gems here and there (dela/little brother/blackstar/okp artists/etc), last ten years been tough to swallow, all filler, no substance...

In any case, what I do (together with my partners) music-wise is definitely on a whole different tip. My concept is Spirit Evolution Via Sound.

In that way, we can give to those who listen the essence, the best of what we are. But to do that at each stage, we have to keep on cleaning the mirror" (John Coltrane)
