Yesterday i went downtown and went to 1 of the local music Equipment stores in T.O and was checkin out the Mpc4k they had on display I was there with my boy and i started laughin at the price it was i believe $3689 and remember this is canada 15 % tax which wud bring it to about $4200 so im like yo i could copp this shit off ebay for 1500 Us. which is 1800 Can. and the guy at the store was like naw your talkin shit he is like well it cant be new and blah blah and kept insisting im lying but ya these stores are Robbin people Blind

I wonder how they making money or are people really just that stupid with there loot ?

naw I no wat u sayin but I mean its a big store they get shit at wholesale price and if i Can get the Exact same product somewhere else for 1800 and save 2400 then thats just insane I could Buy 2 mpc4k's for the price they sell 1 for . Long & McQuade, right? I used to do repairs for them then I left their contract behind, they're too suspect still. But, you gotta make sure you're not getting schemed out of your loot on eBay. I've heard stories of people buying MPCs and getting bricks instead. More times than not, MPCs on eBay are too good to be true.

I hear if you get jacked, eBay will only cover up to 6 bills. Not really a good thing if you drop $1500 USD.

I hear what you're saying. The prices of recording gear in Canada is crazy. Every time I go to the store I know I'm not gonna buy anything 'cause it's too expensive! I remember I thought of getting an MPC2000xl a few years back but it was around $2800! C'mon that's nuts. Even the line of Akai rack samplers (S5000, etc) were $3000 if I remember correctly. Godamn exchange rates!

If products are made in the us, they will soct more in canada and vice-versa.

Some product made in germany are not expansive for the Uerope but is for america.

Cuz of the shipping and the toll.

Even if you get the product over E-Bay for 1800$, you'll have to pay toll, taxes and shipping. At the end it will probably cost you 3000$ for real.

The 3800$ price is not the final price. Don't you ever bought something??? You can deal it!!

Stores put prices knowing you'll try to get a deal on it. you probably can get it for 3500$ or even less!!!

The problem with E-Bay is will you get your product??? How much time will it take!!Hope it will not break in the shipping . Hope it is not broken at all!! You trust someone in another country??? You,ll give away 2000$??? you got not warranty over your product but you have if you buy at the store!!
