man i listen to alot of cats on here,and alot have what it takes. I'm still learning somethings and its cool,but you guys have it. Now what brought me here... the lack of product in the game cats get mega dough cuz they name and beat is wack. all MM's beats sound the same drums are for damn sure yet there he is gettin paid. I dont understand it Jay-Z beats on his album are weak in my opinion. Busta,luda,...i could go on. with that said man dont give up cuz you have it.

Thats cuz they got good publicists and they market tha shit out of them in tha most blatent but correct ways possible, hence pulling in mad dough.

yeah i find that lots of albums have wack beats eps mainstream shit. there are a shit load of producers on this site who are making doper product than preoducers who are putting out albums and making money.......which leads me to believe that its got s shit load to do with who you know sorta thing....which is fucked

Im not the best beat maker in the world. But ur right there are a lot of wack producers making it big. Listen to that juelz santana album. Them heat makers niggas is garbage. How you gon just take a str8t 2 bar loop and just loop it maybe add a lil drums behind it and call that production.
And im not talking bout sampling vs synths im talking bout not even sampling but just looping a few bars of another song and saying you produced the track. Every damn dipset beat is like that.

Marketing, Who you know, a helluva lot of LUCK & sometimes Kranking out lots of shidd in your local area for artists = Key to getting on.....
Hott beats alone are not always equal to getting on....its a tuff thing to swallow..but its the truth.....I wanna know how many on here actually produce for artists on a regular and do mixtapes and get your stuff out...the internet and beat comps and showcasing is ok....but that alone will not get you on it's Cats that got the connections....U ain't figured it out yet?....you will not get into the fraternity of platinum producers without knowing the right person....hot beats alone will not cut it unfortunately theres a lot of other things you have to do by hitting the concrete and peoples trunks with your material and getting out to events and networking....find producers in your area to collab with and put out mixtapes, demos & eps...flood the world with your music!!!!!.....
