Some would say that the Canibus ordeal was the closest that anyone has ever come to destroying him but to say that he crushed LL is pushing it....lol. I do agree that he should give up on the dissing game. IMO he's playing himself if he thinks that dissing JZ is the key to getting back in the publics ear. Then again, you gotta ask yourself, if LL was to make some noise in the game nowadays...how would he do it?...the only, ONLY logical answer is to...come out dissing JZ. its the beat that's soft... the rhymes sound decent... a harder beat, slower tempo, more aggression, and less singin in the hook... and i think it would be better... but i think the rhymes are up to par... but his agression is gone... where's that "Im Bad" and "Jack the Ripper" attitude at? it stayed in Queens when he went "Goin back to Cali"... lol

yeah, it's definitely my opinion but to me, Canibus' "2nd Round Knockout" rivals Nas' "Ether" as the best diss tracks ever. I know LL got the last word cause he kept going, but nothing he said could compare to what Canibus did to him.

When I listen to the jabs, I personally think LL busted his shit. One, LL's beat was way better. Two, he flipped everything Canibus said back on him. "Talking bout my book YOU bought to read." Then he fucked Tyson up too.

Canibus is a dope emcee, but he always picks the worst beats.

For the record, the initial event that caused the beef was some bitchassness on LL's part. Making Canibus rewrite his rhymes so he could diss him on the same tracks was gay. But once the battle got going LL said his career would be over in less than a year, and look what happened. I still think Canibus has at least 3 more dope albums in him.


And for the record, I am a huge Canibus Fan. I just wished he could have wrecked the game a lot harder than he did.
