Lfo gives a bit of a twist to your sound not necissarily ( spelling ) saying it wil sound more dusty..

U'll need to look for drumbreaks and sample those.. if u want more dusty then u'll need LO FI that's the sound ur looking for.. Like 12 bit drums.. those are the dopest, u can do this in Audobe Audition but it won't be the same as using a 12 bit sampler Like the SP 1200

Hope this helps..

Peace

you could use the vinyl plugin from izotope and turn down the years or turn up the wear, or even add some dust

if you go the the FL Studio Help manual and type Fruity Squeeze, it'll tell you how it works. I've played with it once, didnt really get deep into it. But if you want your drums sounds to be "lo-fi", I suggest that you have each drum sound on a different channel--->going to a different track---->then using Fruity Squeeze as an insert effect for each channel. Last but not least, if you aint feelin' Fruity Squeeze then I'd just download some 3rd party stuff like in the post above. Peace!

Now, I have to go home and play with it since that you said that. As soon as I leave work in 1.5 hours, I will experiment with it. Good lookin' fellas.

To take off that clean/pristine sound in drums using FL, you can apply the Fruity Free Filter. On its default setting, but the "Q" all the way down an then adjust the cut to taste. Putting it all the way to the right dampens it a lil bit, but you can get just the meet of the sound if you filter it right. Great for toning down kicks. For hihats an even snares, try using Fruitys "Blood Overdrive" effect. The cut on there is more subtle and can dampen that pristine quality you may find. Also pitching hihats down and up or time stretching them give them a different lesser quality character. Experiment.

pretty sure the Q is the width of the band that is applying EQ, im not sure what it stands for, but i think the lower the Q is the wider and mellower the boost or cut will be, (over a broad range of frequency) and the higher it is the more it will resemble like a jagged peak from a rolling hill, nahmean?
