can you take the settings from the program section and save it as a program with the effects still on it, and then use it in the sequence section?

hmmm..... actuall you should be able to copy a program into the sequencer section. i may be mistaken, that feature may be available only for combi's.

my bad thats what i meant, what i should have said is when you do that, is there a way to keep the effects on the instrument once it is copied?

Yes,

Go in and apply the effects

Then you have go to the tab at the top right , hit that and select "write program", Then it will have those effects on it and carry over to that program in the Sequence mode. But first go to the global mode and make sure the memory protect is on or off. If its on , then that will save the effect for that program and save them under that name only. If its off then the effects will be on that program for good even after you power down until you rewrite it.

I prefer to apply effects on the sequencing and mixing level myself.

Is your way better for some reason?

when you do the "copy from combi" thing make shure not to loose
many tracks on the seq.
sometimes combination sounds "eat " almost 8 tracks.

I'm assumig you got the classic, or pro , not the studio.

go to global mode and turn off the memory protect for the programs, then try it. Also when you write the program, make sure your writing it to the same program name.

If that dosen't work I'm stomp, go here and ask
