wanting to change from windows but to get a mac i would have to shell out a couple thousand for new hardware and my pc is pretty powerful. my question is has anybody ever used this. this looks pretty bad ass. im wondering if it would work with me gear. im actually downloading it right now. you can burn the image to a cd and you can run it off the cd to try it, so as not to change anything on my computer.

I played around with it a bit and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I don't know about music programs on it, that's what sucks about Windows - all these companies are making their software strictly for Windows. But there's a site out there that keeps track of Windows programs that are running ok on Linux:

heh linux for human beings. I had this installed on parallels, its ok, but for music i dont know, havent tried any music software with it. I suggest you stick with windows or mac osx for now. Windows got more cracks than than mac osx, although dont get it twisted, mac osx got a good community too thats cracking alot of the new stuff.

"Thats also why more people like Windows cause there are Programs that are just not available for other Operating Systems"

that's actually why I use a mac

agreed especially now that Dynamics team is cracking Universal Binary mac programs, there is way more than you could ever, ever even use out for Mac, whether legally or illegaly.
