Yea if you can get used to the british accents, the words are pretty good. I heard Jehst and i think he's lyrically better than 80% of rappers from the usa.

na jehst is not that enjoyable to listen to... Mystro, Skinnyman, Rodney P, Braintax etc. are all actually really good rappers...

I don't think Jehst is all that bad....I have his album 'Fallin Down' and there is some really varied stuff on there, particularly production-wise.

And, I think Lewis Parker deserves a mention - he's managed to work with so many UK artists and produces some really tight tracks [including all of the stuff on his own albums].

Yeah, I got 'Its All Happening Now'...tight stuff. As for UK hiphop you can't really beat Mark B & Blade either.

Mark B & Blade as a duo were a killer combo, but Blade on his own just ain't all that. He's a decent lyricist and performer but from what i've heard from him recently the production is just plain weak

Skinnyman is definitely one of the best out there in the UK, Kyza is wicked also. Fallacy is also a wicked MC but he seems to have fallen off the radar recently??

UK rap is definitely on the up, but IMO they need to up it on the production and do a few more party tracks. Do more songs that have a chance of actually being played out at a club rather than just underground sounding tracks

I completely know what you mean, in that UK artists should make stuff that they might actually play in clubs....but in a way its kinda cool at the moment - Its scene that has not yet been subject to commercialisation and artists within the scene rarely sound the same. Which is undoubtedly a good thing. The production in itself also sounds a lot different to the majority of equivilant tracks being released by US artists.
