I past the Preselections

Some of my peeps signed for a hiphop contest a couple of weeks ago and they passed the preselections... Last thursday, they had to go to the semi-finals...

Since I'm there beatmakers, I wanted to have a better sound, so with the help of my bro and from our very own resident angel (thanks again Wings), I got all the point given for the beat's sound quality... The rest of the job was in the hands of the MC's, and we should have the results in a couple of days now...

That night was really great for me....

1- I had the feedback of people of the Montreal's hiphop industry saying my beat sounded nice!
2- My peeps had a great performance!
3- I got a hook up with a local MC of montreal (for people who live here, it's KC LMNOP)... he's old school, but he could be a great oportunity for us to have a piece of the spotlight!!!
4- Girls liked the beats too, if you know what i mean (he he he)

Well, anyways, since he's known all the way to France... and he was known in the begginning of the 90's, so I guess he could make a comeback and if he plays his cards well, he could be alright... I hope...

Anyways, it's just a bonus that we can have a foot in the montreal's hiphop community (he still has contacts with other producers and rappers here) So it could lead to lots of collabs!

Actually, he gave us the permission to use all of his old material at no charge... so I can make remixes of his old tracks without thinking of putting money up,
ANd.... HE wants to collab with US... even if he has a producer already (Nasbrok, for people that know him)

Of course, I wont wait on him, but it could help. As I said, I got a foot in...

He aint THAT wack! He's actually a decent guy. I talked to him, and he changed since 1993/94. To me, he wants to make a comeback, have a fresh start and wants a new sound... that's it!

He did some shit in the past (I diddt remember all that but... anyways)... I do have a head on my shoulders, and if it doesnt work out with him, well, I'll use other ways to get to where I want to go, AND I'll use all the connection he can give me. His sister (real cute, by the way) also gave us some props and she is also in the industry... he knows producers, writers, he started RAPCITY, the 1st hiphop tv show in montreal, had a radio show, knows other artist (signed ones)... to me, if he feels what we do, it's a great opportunity, wheter he's wack or not... dont you think?

And actually, that's not even the point here... I meet KC, got great reviews from the industry, we had a great performance (crowd was feeling us)... All that togheter adds up to a great night for me! Dont yall think? Or am I too optimistic?

hey did it go well at the hh4ever. i was going to participate but considering the events of 3 years ago ( peepz from montreal who know, know) i decided against it. but 4 sure i'll participate next year is my god given revenge years for h4ever
