I need a Trigger Finger tutorial....big time

Whats up everyone, hope your having a good christmas,
I searched the forum as well as reading the packaged tutorial several times over the past 2 days while trying to set up my new trigger finger, but when it comes down to it im a turntable and computer beat maker and a complete rookie with this kind of hardware. I've had enough of blindly trying to get this thing up and running. Im on a mac using reason 3.0 and have yet to get a sound to play because I slam on a pad.....just looking at it makes me want to bang out some beats and I've spent countless hours late into the nights so far trying to configure reason. The best ive done is got the channel 10 midi light to blink in response to me hitting a pad.

If anyone can help out or knows a good tutorial that is done in easier steps PLEASEEE hook me up.
Thanks in advance and merry christmas all.
Peace

you know, it might not be triggering the right notes, i ahd to configure all my pads, you do this by pressing the memory recall button and the program change bank at the same time, two lights will start blinking in unison and your in edit mode, from there you can press a pad and on the LCD it will tell you what note its triggering, you can change the note by messing with the first knob, do this with all the notes, you can hit them as you change them to see if your getting any response on each note if you dont know what notes its supposed to be triggering, anyways do this for each pad and when your done hit the button on the left that says save and exit below it, it will say something like P01 and you want to hit whatever pad you want to set those presets too. I have P01 set up to trigger C3 C#3 D3 D#3 et cetera for layers, and i have P02 set up to trigger a wider variety for basslines and such. anyway thats the shit i had to do to get mine to work, but on the other hand im on a pc with fl studio haha, which is a little different than reason on a mac
