if u dident know already the trick to heat makers sound is old school soul loops over a dirty south drum pattern. Their drums are straight from No limit and mannie fresh

im not too impressed.....anyone can make a beat in 20 mins when u got the entire melody layed down with a looped sample lol....all he did was put a mediocre drum beat with a very simple bassline on a very mediocre sample.....i guess simplicity works, but i can guarantee that if they could never clear their samples, they would fall off the map, because 90% of Illmuzik-ers would be blowin them out the water

Word is bond. I agree; this is pretty much the reason why i don't appreciate\listen to those kind of beats. It's just not an art form. they make sampling look way too easy and basic. this is exactly the reason musicians think that we - samplists - are not making REAL music.
In any situation - EACH TO HIS OWN...

well they ddin't really make sampling look easy as they already had the sample in the MPC even so they didn't do a lot and only had two sequences so i know i could and probably any with a basic knowledge of sampling could knock that beat out in 20 minutes, that said they do have some kewl beats !

I can't veiw the vid on that link rite now. But after seeing beserk post I know its the same footage from the Smack dvd which I also have... Yeah asoon as I saw dat .. I quickly went to thru my crates. Found the original record and listened for the part they looped... Sure enuff str8t loop no chopin no nothin.... Not hating on they hustle... But that's not making music. That's remixin... Lol

dont get me wrong, if you gotta jack a loop to get put on, then go for it, cuz then you have other opportunities to get the real hot beats out there.....On occasion I'll take a loop and just throw the drums/bass on it and call it a beat, but I don't give myself more credit than I deserve....I'll be the first to say, yeah it may sound hot, but it takes no skill whatsoever, and it's not producing....Even on my own beats...

If they are so hot, they should start trying to do more challenging things, since they're already on....Now they have that opportunity....oh well

heatmakerz dont just sample, they take phrases wholesale. there's always going to be some digger who can ID their samples off the top of his head. anyway, wake me up when you're an authority on the industry.

ok man no problem its intruders - friends no more is what he samples if you give me some time when i get off work i'll chop it up the same way he did and program some drums to it no problem and it won't take me more than 20 mins, yea ok with premo were on some different shit he has techniques and woteva for what he does but the heatmakerz chopped it up then added drums there is nothing more to that beat on that video !

Look Zone what my point is he made it look like he constructed all that on tha MPC, right on the spot...he starts up like I got my loop going, anyone can do that part its some of the flipping with mpc and shortcuts....I mean he skipped all of the diggin and getting that shidd looped just right IN THE mpc..etc........., just watch him shits all loaded i wasn't looking for who can make the beat or who can play follow the heatmakers. on my computer watch......LOL I just said he ain't show it all and yes all infinite wisdom beatmakers....there are secrets...not jumping to ya fruity loops playlist though thats cheating..ok....and the only way to unlock them is to keep buying them fuggin Shortcut DVD's...LOL I think everyone is throwing one of these things together in their bored time during their signed beatmaking time to make a lil extra change....but outside of that theres only really entertainment value in this video here....maybe some of the other ones might teach you something you can use.....I am not an authority on the industry(maybe kinda close because I study my craft for some years man and I do have at least 2 people in the industry on records right now) but i bet you I know my way around any mpc or piece of gear to tell you why I said what i said...oh yeah I know my way around Fruity loops and reason too if you need some tips....
