I like the idea of limitations, and I certainly think it fits the hip-hip aesthetic, but man if you are composing more than sampling, workflow and speed become key. And you can certainly get that old school sound out of a DAW, but yea we chase upgrades instead of creating I will agree. But this dude is pretty dope!

I fully agree with this dude. We're chasing upgrades instead of making beats nowadays. Although limitation is good, sometimes you need a specific sound from the DAW, and I must say that the analog warmth that the DAWs can produce, is pretty good as it is. Kinda generic, but what can you do when you ain't got money to pick up a porta-studio?
