Going Live

Hey everyone,
I'll finally have an MPC2000xl soon, and I'll prob be using it in live performance with my Emcee, what extant can you do with it in real time, just trigger sounds (eg. Scratchs) ? are there any resource's on the web ? does anyone here do live set's ? any info, or general ideas would be <font color="red">GREAT</font color> thanks

It takes lot of muscle work to carry 2000xl! =)
We do our live sets with quite big posse, including the MC, 2 * Backup MC's and "DJ" who just picks the right beat from cd.

Two backups for getting performance more explosive and the "DJ" who picks the right beat because it is fun to throw songs in different order... It also gives the opportunity to mess up the whole thing =)

But I wouldn't carry mpc with me. I'd buy a cd-player with effekts and etc.

have a look at this.....its not hip hop but shows how this house guy uses his MPC live then plays melody on a keyboard then switches to a new beat on the fly....

the guy can rock it on the MPC..

Yea, seriously, i've never heard you guys, but I would automatically diss you for trying to scratch on an MPC... dont try it
