Getting instruments to hit faster

Is there any way besides messing with the attack time to get an NNXT instrument to reach a high volume faster? I notice with some of the strings and things like that they take a while to hit, or whatever you want to call it, and if I'm trying to compose a fast melody it can become a problem. Any other techniques for this?

well thats just how the sample is. the strings "swell"

but what i found works is.. hit it with a pretty high velocity (optional, but it works well), turn the attack all the way down to zero. then open up the advanced part of the nnxt. select all the samples and in the amp envelope, turn their attacs to zero.

then eq some of the lows out, and boost some of the super high end.

then compress it with a fast attack and pretty fast release.

or....down under the sample view screen...see the lil knobs? there is one called "start" which allows your to adjust the start point of the sample
