depends, if im tracking i just record each 8 bar loop(or however long the sequnce) of each track in cubase, once in cubase i cut and paste the tracks out in reaarange it there.

thats only if im taking a beat to the studio

Usually i just record the entire beat as a wav and manually mute tracks switch sequneces etcc... on my mpc. This is just a rough draft i can listen to in my car

i usually record loops in 4/4, or sometimes 2/4. i only ever usually record 8 bars when adding unique percussion or lil sounds.

Hello man.
I never sample in my music. I play it on guitar, synth and MiDi Controller.
And I loop my stuff. I'm a big perfectionist. A "mosqito fuker" as we call it in Sweden. When you set the keys exactly right and allow NO flaws.. So if I shouldn't loop my stuff it'd still sound the same cuz I arrange/clip it to the exact spot anyways.

Peace man.

I play whats needed.. I dont know keys or chords or Scales, but i do know what sounds good.. So i play out whats needed even if this means Playing 2-4 Bars at a time or Playing 1 note at time i do whatever it takes to get the track sounding correct and at the end of the day noone cann tell that im not a trained Pianist they just know the shit sounds good

Word up Nnxt.. That's what I'm about aswell.. I'm no trained musician.. I just know what I think sounds good..
When it's more science then heart involved.. Wich I think it can sometimes tend to be, then the outcome will be bad.
Since guys like us know little about the science behind it the the heart is the main road we pace, ya know what I mean??

That's when it sounds good.. When the passion and the heart and soul is connected to the music.
Fuck the rules man.. when it's good it's good
