What is crackin' folks? This Mun from Louisville, KY, I came across this site in my search for help getting started making some beats. I'm a lover of all music and I would like to more than just listen to music. I want to make music, but I have no idea as to where to start. I've bought a couple of programs (cheap ones) just to get my feet wet, like staed earlier I have no Idea where to even begin. It's getting very frustrating and I don't want to push this aside. So I'm reaching out for help. Where do I start? Currently I'm taking lesson for the piano and I'm trying to teach myself the guitar, both ventures on going slowly but surely. So this is my plea for help!

Piano lessons are an excellent idea!!! I still want to do that , I have played by ear for years but I would like
to get some professional training!!!

I want to be able to create beats and music, basically to satisfy my curiosity of the producing process. Where do I see myself now; just barely crawling or should I say still in the starter blocks. I love hip hop, when I hear a beat that is so nasty it gives me chills, I think to myself that I want to do that. So I'm reading everything I can get my hands and listening to anyone that will share their knowledge of this craft. Thanks for replying.
