I made a pattern with drums and sample voices today. My question is can i assign a track for them and be able to take the sounds in and out when recording. I have three slices that make up the bass. And two slices that represent the hook. I know i'm asking a lot but everytime i try to assign a pattern i end up losing my first pattern. i make sure i always name the first pattern then go to the next.

yes just make a pattern with you bass, and then do a clone selected and you can change it up and make as many patterns as you want

Yah, you're post is unclear but you can just do what Grafik said and make separate patterns then drop them in and out on the playlist
