I have some songs on my cd i wanna upload to ftp site but i dont know how to use that smartFTP program and even before that the files i have on my audio cd are in cda format so i cant change them into real player files using real producer. How do i change these .cda files to .mp3 or how do i change .cda files to .wav so that i can turn the .wav to .mp3?????????

Extract/rip the audio files to your hard drive. Any CD burning app like Nero, EZ CD, Toast, etc. has an extraction option. It may also be listed as a "Save files to disk" option. This will extract .cda to .wav format. As far as encoding to .mp3, you'll to get a program that can convert the .wav to it. I personally use Wavelab for this but I know that there are a bunch of freeware programs that can do this. Also, once your file is in .wav format, you can convert it to a real player file(.rm).
As a matter of fact, I just did a quick search on CNET.com for 'mp3 encoders' and a whole bunch of results popped up. Check it out:
