Fan of Cleverwon's BattleThis! Beat?

Ive been listening to Cleverwon's 2nd Place BattleThis! Beat over and over. I love the sample and everything, but i was scanning the radio today. I heard something that sounded like it was worth sampling, and it reminded me more and more of Cleverwon's beat until it got to the chorus:"I would be nothing... ...without you, babe!" I flipped out. My friends was looking at me strange until i reminded them of Clev's beat.

I just thought that was pretty cool. Have any of you ever heard a song's original version on an old station, and what was it (underground or mainstream)?

I hear it all the time and it is almost every time mainstream (the original)
I like to listen to soul and funk from the 70's so I hear a lot of "hip hop" in there.
