After reporting about the new TR-8 that came out, I was curious as to how much the original TR-808 cost. Wow, what a surprise. On eBay, there's some going for $4,000!!!
I mean, holy shit I didn't expect that at all. I know that for years the SP-1200 has been going for the $2,000 - $2,500 range, but I didn't think the 808 was so much.
So with that being said, do you think it's justified charging so much for used, classic equipment? I say yes, but to a certain degree. Once you get over $1,000 for something used, it's a bit ridiculous, no?
