I recently purchased an LP by El Rego, and African singer from Benin. He put out quite a few tracks in the late 60's and early 70's, making some seriously good music. The LP from Daptone came with a bonus 45 with one of his most sought after tracks "Se Na Min". What's interesting is that the album mixes French with other languages native to Benin. Very cool. Everyone should listen. The wealth of music from Africa is absurd.
