about the midi i dunno, i always record audio into it only.
now to convert the tracks to a wave or mp3 after its mixed just drag the the little arrow from (i dunno the name) the black part with the numbers where you have it set up as bar or seconds and drag it from left to right all the way to the end of the song. it should highlight blue then go to file and export and see the quality you want, mp3, wav, mono,etc..

just select your start/end points (the green bar at the top og the project screen) and go to file, then audio export.
if you want to export specific tracks, solo whatever track(s) you want before you export... sorry it took so long. i actually replied earlier but the cookies were acting wierd and said i wasnt logged in and erased my response. if you have any other questions, just hit up my pm.

when things work...its also a good thing to let the people that helped know it worked iight? so did it work cos what cold truth told you to do is basically...well the cold truth!
converting the cubase track to wav is done by soloing ALL the tracks and File>export> audio mix down> save as.
remember you want the final mix as STEREO INTERLEAVED, 24 bit, and the highest possible sample rate, then you take that mix into your soundforge/cooledit etc and then do the additional tweaking (mastering,fade in/out, hiss,hum removal, normalizing) etc depends on your program really. for me soundforge is the grandaddy for this. then when ur done you save it down into 16bit/44.1 so it can be listened to on CD(it wont if you leave it at the high rate)
