what do y'all think about this baby http://www.soundfont.com/products/ecard.asp soundcard .
From reading the specs it says:
One of the most powerful and innovative features on the E-Card is the hardware-based effects processor. The effects processor gives you the ability to add professional quality effects to your tracks and MIDI sequences without impairing the fidelity or real-time performance of your system. Effects include an 8 parameter Studio Reverb (early reflection, delay, hi/low freq. decay, etc.), Chorus, Flanger, Delay, Distortion (with pre and post EQ), Compression, Envelope follower, Parametric and Shelving EQ. From home recordings to Hollywood productions, these studio-quality effects will give your music a professional sound.
I know I may be jumping to conclusion, but isn't that the ish add effects live - doesn't that make it worthy of the 200 big ones and it also features:
an entirely new generation of chip technology from EMU, the E-Card's clever design makes use of your computer's memory (RAM) to store and to play up to 32MB of SoundFont samples, the most popular and fastest growing downloadable sound format available.
As a gadget lover this makes my mouth water, sound goods right. So, far I've been looking at the Soundblaster X series but it seems those card are based with movie gear like 3d sound and this and that and more.
So my questions are, are these great features to look for when your using your computer for just music, would you buy this baby, if not what other options would you consider lookin at pics and link would help.....
