if you have a sample looped/chopped and the sequence tempo is at 80 bpm and 4 bars

you double the tempo to 160 and 8 bars in length

it increases the resolution so that u can more accurately place samples/drums

they use a shuffle, one of the reasons why is this, listen to some of the samples they use, there a lot of samples from the oooold soul and rnb in the 60's ( especially ballads) that use the shuffle I really dont know if the reason for why they started doing this in their tracks was accidental or they started matching the drum patterns to fit what a lot of the samples were using already.......what you hear a lot comes down to plain and simple drumming, rudiments and basic patterns on a set taking from the sample and emulate it on your drum pattern, plus using a shuffle beat is easiest to transition into a lot of the builds and breakdowns they use too.......

If first you don't seceeded try try
again if thats what it takes to get result then you better ask question partner....

I feel you, but on the other hand u have to take intetive to find out the answer youself....
THe questions you asked are very closly related to each other, and also very basic,

You could have easily answered those with a quick search of the site or a quick referernce to your manual,
For example, to roll ur drums on the XL just use the note repeat function and vary the velocity, that has been said a million times.... Just try searching

It seemed like you were asking the same question over and over waitin for somebody to hold you hand threw it, there are many ways to skin a cat.

As a musican you of all people should know the value of self discovery

WIth that said, im more then happy to help with harder more detailed questions, but these are pretty basic and repetive, hence the comments,

Peace...
