doin drums on piano keys just wasnt cuttin it nemore ..I've always done my drums on midi keyboards , never really fucked w/ pads. IDK if i should of gone for a older mpc to start out but w/ maschine being integrated into software on ur comp seemed like the best move.

Hows the learning curve on this thing?

not really trying to watch youtube tutorials for a week str8 part of the reason i got it is so i didnt have to stare at a screen as much.

I was never a big fan of pads either but I picked it up in no time and it's great. I spent a few days just messing around with the settings and features before I attempted to make a beat because there's so much you can learn.

Maschine has done wonders for me. Learning curve? I learned Maschine fairly quickly.......

noting like it at the moment, as with anything learning curves will be different for each person

many pick it up quickly, and others have trouble, all depends on what you're used to and how you understand it's way of doing things
