Look for some old classical vynils at the flea market, or CD's in pharmacies. You can em for cheap. Or go to a one dollar store! They often sell classical collections for cheap.

Anything will do...any classical vinyl has good stuff. Look online for some downloads...I used to download tons of songs off of mp3.com in the classical genre. I cant wait till they get that site working again.

Spindoc,
I think most people (myself included) are real protective of samples they find. You wanna have shit that nobody elses got. Try findin your own shit. You could even go to best buy and look for a cd.

Hey, maybe it is just me but classical samples are always some of the easiest for me to find. I can't dig anywhere that doesn't have like a million classical records. They are a dime a dozen. And most records will have a ton of samples each. Just go get your fingers dirty...

I did a few classical beats, and it wasnt hard for me to find classical music either. another good place or category to search behind is like war movie soundtracks...I found a whole lot of dark sounding orchestrated classical type samples.

If you want to find some good classical samples...go to the Salvation Army...that's where I've found tons of classical records. I started sampling classical samples a while ago and now I got my 2 producers buddies on some classical shit. Another place is estate sales, or garage sales..

Is it true that classical music is copyright free (meaning we can sample them as much as we like)

classical music is CERTAINLY NOT croyaltie free unless it says.... you can play any peice and incorporate but not sample any record........ the 50 years dead thing applies here tho....... USE IT...... before 54 everyone try try try.. (this means for nice dusty records too) also try and get 'LIBRARIES' there are alot of these around
