I need a software that can take a song that i just downloaded from ***** and chop certain sections of the song. It also needs to convert to wav files so i can take that chopped beat and transported to my mpc 2000xl.

Hey,

There are some programs which will analyze a file, break it up into parts, and save them out as individual wavefiles. Recycle is such a program; although I'm not 100% sure of this, you may be able to save your hits out as an Akai s1000/3000 program, which you can save to floppy, cd-r or zip drive and bring into your MPC.

Take care,

Nick

Sound Forge 6 is the one I use the most you can zoom closely in on your sample chop it up, and also check the sample within Sound Forge by having it loop the sound so your ensured it's an accurate loop. Wavelab will work too-but Sound Forge is just quicker for me. There are a lot of programs that will do this, go to hitsquad.com and download a freeware program that will do this if your not tryin to spend some money.
