Best peice used for sampling?..

iight, i jus started sampling with Reason, and im starting to wonder a bit, because of all these tutorials out, that i've been watching. But, I use Adobe Audition to sample n chop. But, what tool i guess you could say in Reason should i use? the ReDrum, NN-XT, or the NN19. Which would you suggest and why?

I don't know much about Reason but i know my friend that uses it uses redrum if that helps?

When I use reason I use Recycle to chop first...save them chops on the computer in a folder with the song.....then open up the recycle loop player in reason, open up the recycle song with the chops mapped out....then come up with a melody off the mapped chops ..... that simple..there are probably other ways but that to me is the cut and dry it works just like any hardware keymapped sampler after slicing I used like the MO or ASr (imma ol skool hardware head so that makes the most sense to me, its better than using the slicer on the motif to me) after that you can use your imagination.

Well the answer is prolly the one that works best for you. NN-XT allows you to get real deep into the sample and alter pasrts independantly, while the Dr Rex is real nice for just droppingsomething in there and playing it out real quick.

You should probably get Recycle it makes chopping a lot easier than using adobe audition.

I don't think you need a "good" program for chopping.
Editing start- and end-points on a .wav file isn't that hard imo. I could do it with Windows Sound Recorder if I had too.

But I use Acid to cut out different parts of a song. Then in FL I use FL Slicer or Kontakt 2, to chop it further and enable me to play it on my keyboard.
