Maaaaan! When this song came out I was immersed in hip hop. I lived & loved it.. Being the oldest Son in the household these rappers really were like my older brothers.. I learned a lot about life, music & culture from those cats.. Back in those days if you were a biter you would called out for it as opposed to now how its a literal free for all in terms of un originality.. I've never really been a fan of Jay Z or Jaz O but I do respect the fact that they made themselves into (hip Hop) household names & that as easy as it may seem to some is no easy task at all.. Timing, connections, skill, money all play a part into the "making it" equation..The good ole days of hip hop are long gone, but hopefully before its all said and done there will be a resurgence of great emcee storytellers, hard rhymers, flows, and cold ass beats.. The funny tho.. check Jay Z dropping from the sky at the 40 second mark lol. The new technology is greater than great but damn I miss the old school!
