Hey,

The MPC is a combination hardware sampler/midi sequencer/pad controller.

Battery, to my knowledge, is a software drum machine emulator. Obviously it lacks the controller, and I'm sure that without an ASIO soundcard it doesn't work in real-time as well as an MPC would. It probably has a step-time sequencer or something to that effect, I don't know if you would be able to trigger its sounds from an external controller.

Take care,

Nick

i disagree with some of yall, i think battery is tight. its vst which means u need logic, cubase, etc. its more manipulative than the mpc and lets more editing to the sounds. the mpc editing sucks unless you have the effects board. battery is cool dawg!!!!

Yeah, it's supposed to be the equiv, I have a mpc and I have battery and I have battery, Ill take a MPD16(mpc pad) and battery over it anyday! it's a very lethal computer wise, It even loads AKAI format to which is awsome.
