Okay, I just took my MPD-16 back yesterday and copped this Trigger Finger. I have been reading the manual and trying to figure out why this isn't working properly. The main problem is this: Whenever I am in FL, I can't get all of the drums in my step sequencxer to spread out across the pads. Everytime I try and go into edit mode and try to assign each sound to a pad it always comes out with the same result. One sound will be spread out acorss the pads but it will play it at different notes. So, my question is: How do I get each sound to assign to it's own individual pad? If anyone knows, any help is very much appreciated..

The trigger finger is supposed to be much better. It's alot better in my book because it atleast got past the installation process and the software that came with it is much better than the crap akai has (imo) lol... I think this problem may be because I am using an older version of FL (FL4). What about you P, which one are you running?

add a layer channel to the step sequencer, then select what sounds you want by clicking the green lights and click set as children, click the little arrow next to layering and selet split children, then click on the layer channel in the step sequencer and that should work. hope that helps

Okay, Seoul you were right. The FPC feature is what I was missing. Now I got everything in control and working properly. And thanx Bisit. I tried what you said but I couldn't get it to work that way so I upgraded to FL5 and that solved the problem. Good Lookin yall..

So how does it work? You connect Trigger Finger to the computer, then you turn FL 5 on, you add an FPC channel and then Trigger Finger automatically picks up the sounds?

I did this but it gives no freedom to work and plus it won't cut itself when I set it like that. I can't get this thing to work with the FPC function. Any help? I'm tryna practice my sampling.

EDIT: I can get it so that I click on the pads and get the sound to come out but when I get the pad on my MPD, no sound.

you have to make sure that the pads of the fpc correspond to the notes you programmed ur trigger finger to trigger

It's probably not gonna be up to par with everyone elses, butI wish I could man, but I'm still waiting on a computer upgrade so I can mix down my music which is gonna happen next week so I might be able to get it to you then. But for real, thanks for helping with this man. I had my MPD just sitting here for awhile and finally got around to getting it working.
