ASR 88 help!

wasup everyone.. i just got an asr88 and i was trying to format a disk in both ensoniq and computer format, but i keep getting a "FILE OPERATION ERROR" i'm using good condition, high denisty or double density disks, but they have been used for computer purposes in the past. coudl this be the reason why its not formatting properly? should i go out and buy new disks? or, is there any particular disks i need to use? ive also tried using this computer program called EPSDISK but that doesnt work either. any suggestions?

Hmmm I've recently had similar problems.. I'm not sure whether or not it relies on what kind of operating system.. but when I upgraded to windows XP, my asr-10 wouldn't read disks formatted by my computer... but on windows 98 it worked fine!

It could also mean that you asr disk drive is finished.. :bawling:
