Personally, im not a fan of Em's work for the most part, ive heard a few older joints that i kinda liked, but his cause and what he was about never really appealed to me.

Anyways, its hard to not hear the guys music on the radio or the tv as long as u own one of the two, and with that said, im sure yall have heard that new joint he added to his Curtain Call joint that he just released and honestly, for the first time - i actually could feel some of his shit. LOL.....It seems as though he finally is growin and his bullshit is catchin up to him so he's spitin real shit for once. I dunno, maybe he might turn out to be a dope rapper after all?.....I mean, i give him dap for his abilities, but his craft has clearly gotten swayed by stupid shit that he's brought on himself and all that "shock-value-rap" that hes been spittin for ages now. But anyways, he actually impressed me with his last joint since he wasnt tryin to bullshit to impress tha masses so big ups for finally lettin yer balls drop EM! LOL.....

LOL...haha, i dunno if thats a good or a bad thing?.....But yeah, like i said...ive heard a few older joints that are ok, but its the content of that song that grabbed me so i figured id share.
Usually he's just taking cheap shots at other people he hates or wants to make fun of and thats all he really has goin for him which to be honest is pretty retarded. Then he'll come outa the blue with a track like "stan".....thing is, he never really made that many tracks that were just humble and real like that and in my opinion, thats where his true talent lies.

Hailey's Song, and Mockingbird were both along the same lines for the most part.

and then he obviously had the harder substance tracks like Stan, The Way I Am, Cleaning Out My Closet, Loose Yourself, etc.

I think for the most part, he get's all his shock value bubble gum rapper status becasue everytime he puts out an album, be it himself, or D-12, he always puts out a gay ass first single to get every white person who wouldnt know hip hop if it shat (my word, fuck off) in their face, to go out and buy the album. Personally, it's a genius marketing scheme. Anyways, my theory is, I believe Deuce is just giving Em a little more validation now because this is the FIRST time he's ever come with a REAL first single with substance. No My Band/Real Slim shady Shit.

Em is in my opinion, one of the best emcees of all time. But to go with that, you need to ignore the commercialism, and just pay attention to the real songs on his albums. I think a lot of it had to do with Jimmy Iovine. He knows how to get a record sold, and he proved it millions upon millions of times, just look at the soundscan. I'll give the dude credit, although, encore was by far his worst album to date. The first 3 were dope records, and to me, the Marshall Mathers LP is a hip hop classic. The Eminem Show comes awfully close too (minus the first signles of course)

i feel you bruh, the real songs is makes him an actual artist, not the beef and com. bullshit, it's the real songs that people feel, ex: When I'm Gone, The Way I am, Hailey, etc.

Man, his first CDs had some real tracks. Rock Bottom, If I Had, It's Ok, Infinte, and yeah, he has some real tracks later like The Way I Am and Kim (disturbing song).

Anyway, you shouldn't judge him from him singles, as said before. Eminem is/was dope.

Yup. Em's growin up. And I hate it.

He isnt the same dude. Like, he's more wrapped up in being sorry and crying than the usual killing, raping, and makin me bust out laughing on the walk home.

Thats life though man....thats real at least. It may be a polar opposite from his gay bashing/boy-band bashing routine, but its "honest".....To me, thats resepect. I mean, sure you can hate fools and be real about that too, but whats the fucking point!?......Anybody that can admit their faults and be proud afterwards is man in his own right, fuck outside influence and pure pressure and all that nonsense.....

@Swivel - LOL....Yeah man, i agree about the corny ass single that drops everytime that apeals to the "No-Knowing retards that dont really listen to hiphop" or at least tha fools that cant tell bullshit from something legit. Ive had numerous freinds that have purchased his albums so ive heard his work in a chronological order so to speak and have heard everything hes done, and the reason i never really felt Em in the first place is cuz his albums usually contained about 85% nonsense like the singles that he drops so id just not bother anymore, I still feel like he cant drop an entire album full of joints like the "when im gone" tune though.
I can see hes elevating his mental a little now, but hes still stuck in his typical slimshady rut as well as controlled by the corporate beast.

No Doubt, I worked at Mervins when eminem first dropped an i knew him from that mixtape with scam an that track with eastern conference records an i thought he was dope. But then he dropped that mega commercial single "my name is" and every white kid there for months was singin it.. and that were not rap listeners at all. that shit pissed me off but it was a great marketing scheme.

I agree with you, Eminem is my favorite rapper, make some searches you'll see i'm always defending him. But don't be too quick, cuz he'll have to put a second single to Curtain Call, and it'll probabl a bullshit joint like : Fack or Shat That ......

But yeah, people don't respect Eminem for is first Single. But people should respect that, cuz he found a way to have commercial singles without making club songs, so that's orginal.

personally liking someone's style doesn't mean you have to like them. I think that's often misconstrued. btw damn i'm drunk. As far as mANm is concerned he exsinuates the fact that someone can come correct but in a dirrection that is not yours. like mah man Necro for example, he's an asshole bitch but i appreciate his methods like an appretice. that's not only for necro though fa'shure there are plenty of things i'm an appretice of.
