I'm pretty new to this site. Just wanted to know if they were any fellow Roland MV-8000 users online?

I'm not here to bash the MPC series, I have nothing but respect for those machines. The MV just suited me better.

The MV-8000 is a MPC 4000 on steroids. I heard nothing but good things about the 8000. If i had to do it all over again, I would cop a 8000. Its cheaper than a 4000 and you can use a LCD monitor and mouse with it (Im sold on those features alone). Its hard looking at the MPC screens after a few beers you know.

Maybe the MPC 2500 will have VGA output. :D
(oh oh...this might start a new thread)

i feel the mp over the mv .. the sequencer is doper imo .. maybe my ears are biased but the sound is crisper too ......but the mv is more of an all in one machine than the 4000 .. but for strictly beat making .. i will roll wit the mp 4k all day

I think it's your ears. LOL Or maybe we've all been brain washed so long by Akai to think the MPC is the Shit and that's it.

Sounds are sounds, trash in trash out. They are both just machines though. What ever works for you, roll with it. I had the MPC 3000 and sold it to get the MV. (Funny, I sold a 10 year old machine, for $400 less than I paid for the MV...Now that's brainwashing at it's best) I never liked the MPC sequencer or any hardware sequencer since my Ensoniq SQ80. The MV is the first hardware sequencer I've ever been happy with. I have a Motif and I hate the sequencer on it. Now that I have the MV, my Motif is a glorified midi controller. I may use a patch or 2 here and there, but everything else is all MV.

Anybody in the market should give both the MPC and MV a fair trial. What ever works for you.

i heard that the mv 8000 has like 40 gigs of internal storage space!!!!!!!!

Yes it does, but if you use it to it's fullest, you ca eat that up really quick. But you can always use the USB to tranfer to your computer to free u space. It's a win/win.

im seriously considering gettin one of these man. u can do everything on that mv-8000. sample, sequence, program, record, mix, master. u can even burn ur final product off onto cd. ive heard lots about the MV and its all been good. so....

what id really like to know from experienced users or owners of the MV is have you had any problems what so ever with ur mv? i really wana know if there are many weaknesses or faults.

but otherwise it sounds like a really great machine!!
