AKAI format cds and how to use them (with Reason and MPC2000XL)

hey fam, this is mostly for a friend of mine and it's been confusing the hell out of me...

okay, my friend has a couple of AKAI format cds. She wants to be able to use them either with Reason or with her MPC2000XL (or both)...

I've heard Reload is an option. I've heard CDXtract is an option...

any recommendations over which one to go with? or perhaps other ideas?

ok So Sample it in the Mpc

For Reason either or will work.. I dont like Reload because it compresses Sound
(not always good to do that)

CDextract is good, you can convert your pgm's into rexfiles, so that's quite usefull but I'd suggest getting a scsi cd-rom. In that way you can sequence reason from the mpc(and the samples) and use the advantage of hardware outputs and the timing of the mpc. You would need a mixer or a multi I/O soundcard to mix the mpc and reason together.
