at 7 pm, i had my lunch break at my job. I wanted to get some fresh air, so i went outside. Where's my job at, theres a lot of "rich" stores and "rich"restaurants. Theres a lot of business people in that street. Then, i saw a lamborgini from new york that was just in front on me. The laborgini was in front of a store. At that store, There was a bodygard standing at the door and was protecting the car with his eyes.. (lol)
I didnt have time to see who was in that store, but jeez, if the celebrity was a rapper, i would have miss my chance to give him a demo....i really dont walk in the streets with a demo on me. I dont know why, but that little moment made me think real hard when i was back to my low rate job. Plus, it is so unusual to see that kind of car in Montreal. I was amazed.... last time i saw a lambo, i think it was on juvenile video lol
Anyways, if i do work harder as a producer, i really hope that i will acheive my goal. that was my story.

Its funny how the little things in life can inspire us to want to be better. Im sure you will get everything you deserve, just keep at it, the more you put into your work the more you'll get out of it in the end. I listened to your stuff and its really good, plus when i found out you were female it made me respect it 10 times more cause that is a very rare thing. So just keep doin what your doin and im sure you'll acheive your goals;)

I see Pharell, Malice and Pusha T, Timberland and Mcgoo around here all the time they all have Lambo's, Posches, and Ferrari's and Allen Iverson is all ways around with one of his Bentleys, but so many people run up on them they don't really take demos, my philosphy is it takes hustle to get out there, once someone see you trying to help yourself then they are willing to do the damn thang for you!! Just the other day I saw Nicole Wray in my hood withthe new hard top convertible SL 600 that joint like $130,000 black with the amg kit! YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP SOME OF YOU MUSIC WITH YOU, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU MIGHT MEET ON THE STREET JUST PLAYING IT IN YOUR WHIP!!!!but I know for a fact the above mention names get so many demos when they have a community event they announce "we will not be taking any demos"!

Not only do they not take demos.....they will more than likely not listen either, I know someone that interviewed the Neptunes 2 months ago at their studio down in VA Beach....they had demos with them....but Pharrel wouldn't let them play them becuz of that whole situation that went down with the kid that they supposedly jacked a beat from.

:) if you guys have stories to tell maybe that could give help us having hope and motivation. holla

well, i dont know what this will do....

but i have simply reached a point of knowing- not hoping- that i will achieve these goals. i no longer have an inferiority complex towards anyone and i am getting increasingly more proficientin my beats. some may think i take too much time too put something out (EHHEMM...viceverse, lol) but from what everything is looking like right now- beats, my writing/content/etc.- that patience and work ethic is paying off in the quality of my music. i am getting the best reactions i have ever gotten and now i know i have a product that i can shop around.

i dont know what hope that would inspire in anyone, but i know that i am getting better and my potential has a "tremendous upside", (as an nba scout would out it) and so really, i am experiencing hard work, determination and most importantly the ability to accept honest, constructive criticism and feedback from your peers does pay off. i have learned to not let people gas me up with compliments just as much as i have learned not to take criticism as a personal attack... it has made me immeasurable better and of a tougher mind, as well more demanding of myself as an artist- all good things.

take of that what you will.

cold ^ thats a big thing for sure, i think sometimes you have to have that mentality where you know your fate is to a certain extent within your control, where you realise your potential and how good you can be, and its a matter of putting in the work and acheiving your goals ! After all a lot of the time the only real thing stopping you is you !
Obviosuly nothing is straight forward but you can put yourself in the frame of mind where like you say you can accept criticism and knock backs and just keep focused on the task !

I remember when I was 18 I was in the Paradise Club in Angel Islington North London (I think its called the Complex now but the mf used to be heavy). I was with some of my crew and someone said, shit, look theres Biggie. I looked round and he was chilling on the couch near the bar ( not sure who was with him). I thought about going to say hello but there was nuff people about him and shit so I just left it and said ill see him again somewhere. (I didnt have any beats with me either and that pissed me off too.)

That night I though shit, this guy is brilliant at what he does and gains respect for that fact alone. Its not who he knows, what hes smokin, how he dresses or who he's fucking but how good he is at what he does. His skills. Alright, Puff did some real banger beats that really must have had an impact on the sales of the tunes and shit but Big did what he did best and it showed that he fave a fuck about his shit.

In the UK POP charts you hear so much bullshit. (The hip hop is fire but dosent sell as much as wack UK cover song bullshit.) I find it inspiring knowing that when my tunes are on those fucking charts it will be because I worked my ass off and did what I did to the best of my ability. Ill be getting the props for the skill and not because I fucked this girl at this party or my dad runs this label or im the son of this dude so I just get a record contract for nothing..

Well, it inspires me anyways so thought Id share!

Peace.

i gave Pharell my demo before. But after I gave it to him, I could tell he wasn't planning on hearing it. Just in the way he accepted it. But I gave it a shot.....Same with Proof from D-12, he never listened to it when I gave it to him....Most of the time these guys dont care. If they don't get a demo through their lawyer, or representatives (label) etc, they're not gonna hear it.....The only few people who actually listened to my beats I think was Kon Artist from D-12 and Slum Village....But I havent hear anythin back, so maybe they didn't lol....I still grind though..Can't lose hope

And about the laborghini's....Before I moved to Orlando in august, I lived at Yorkville in Toronto. Hit up a bar on Yorkville or Cumberland and you see lambo's and ferrari's every 10 seconds. Believe it or not, I saw a Ferrari Enzo on Cumberland over the summer. But I really don't think every one who owned those expensive cars was a celebrity. Those high profile business execs have a lot more money than celebrities.....lol

no, if i produce it is because i have talent. We do all have talent! We just didnt meet the industry yet. Just the thought of seeing that lambo, i was so impressed, that helped me a little bit to think that dream can really happen. Hey, the last time i saw a lambo it was at an exposition. Never saw that kind of car riding in the streets. Please people, im sure you would all have an heart attack if an artist that you really like would want to rap on your songs. Come on!

THIS IS STUPID. it has NADA, NILL, ZIP-A-DEE-DO, NOTHING to do wit the topic... its stupid.

let me S P E L L it O U T for you....

I AM W R I T I N G AND PRODUCING AN EP.... WHICH TAKES TIME... excuae me if i am particluar about what i let people hear.. .and for taking my time........besides...we already went over this... I DONT HAVE A MIC RIGHT NOW. and you know this too.

and this was soooooo out of place as it is.....

and its funny, because you already told me you were going to post this and i told you not to. why did you post it anyways? you know my process and that i am writing and finishing beats... im not a "20 minutes a beat/rhyme" type and you know that.

sooooooo, how bout you leave me alone anyways? and keep this thread on topic.

I'm surprised you haven't seen that kind of car in the streets considering Canada's banks are the headquarters for the lil Cash Loans Til Payday you see in every hood in america, they charge like 300% interest on there loans which are usually due in 2 weeks or "Paychecks" so people will leave them a check for the loan amount plus interest and if they don't pay they cash the check leaving the broke person in more debt, something legally though a loophole or something they figured out, but the headquarters of these storefront "banks" usually offer Western Union and Pay Bill services, whoa lewd
