    You Suck At Producing!

Yeah he has some good content for Ableton users that also veers into general areas of production.. In his live stream now he also does a section on beat roasting also, being in Australia I never catch him live though, have to set an alarm one day lol. Definitely loves his "Camel Crusher"...

Al Stewart - "Year Of The Cat"

@crog85 - Wow, dope atmosphere you created in this one - also love the lofi vibe on it! @2GooD Productions - Yeah nice oldschool vibe, if only I could I could spit some bars, would be great for it. @Edgar - Nice chilled out vibe, smoke a joint to this one. @Klypse - Props to the creativity...

Al Stewart - "Year Of The Cat"

From crog85 - Thanks @crog85 - Yeah I try to push for some variation where I can now, back in the day I would just let the same bars ride over and over lol. Drums were bashed out on Maschine in one take - don't think I quantised, just lined up a few spots for the kick and snare at certain...

    You Suck At Producing!

Enjoy watching people just making beats on YouTube either tutorial style or just fly on the wall - always inspires.. This guy is a bit interesting, quirky. Haven't watched this one yet but here it was:

Anyone into Future Bass style production here?

Apologies - I know it's a hip hop forum here. But I was interested if there are any others here that may dabble in the production of this genre, what software, hardware and plugins you might use etc.. I really enjoy this type of thing, but I find it a chore to try and produce - maybe I'm just...

    Sup everybody

Welcome @The Knoxvillan. New here myself, awesome place.. 34 myself three kids running around lol. ;) Loving the tactile sensation of having hardware at hand compared to mouse and keyboard? I found that Maschine helped me spark my passion for this stuff, just a flow on hardware that can't...

    Metronome... Use it or not?

Sometimes for laying out certain chops I find that the nome throws me off and I end up working out a groove without it, layer some drums then work on timing. But otherwise always..

How often do you make beats?

If I have the time to do something musically each day I will, just to keep fresh and learning - my only real hobby/material passion at the moment.. I feel kind of bad if I leave drafts though, usually try and finish each beat I make if I do start, just to practice making the whole process a...

    Opening and cleaning Maschine internals..

Also on this topic, when hitting the knobs - the cleaner will strip the grease and gunk out.. Some lubrication is required for longevity (as she said). I think the spray I used just recently has a light lubrication mixed in, something to think about also..

    Opening and cleaning Maschine internals..

Yes absolutely @Drago Zetić was all I had at the time. I have cleaned it again since, and now use "Fast Drying Contact Cleaner" especially for electronics - sprayed the fuck out of the PCB, just doused it, was literally holding it from a corner waiting for the cleaner to either evaporate or...

    Opening and cleaning Maschine internals..

Surprisingly no @Fade. I still have minor issues with mute and solo buttons though not long after cleaning, nowhere near as bad as before though - seems to also be the angle that I place pressure on the solo or mute pad that affects this. Heh. I was beta testing for a bit for NI Maschine, I...

    Franco Micalizzi - "Chi Sei?"

Nice beat @Klypse - Love how you use the stereo field to your advantage. Heavy @Edgar - Man, feels like I'm tripping in the jungle surrounded by beautiful amazon women floating above, uff, I like it.. Minimal @Feel - A nice something to smoke a joint to while drinking first coffee - maybe some...

    Franco Micalizzi - "Chi Sei?"

Hey! Love these challenges - really helps to hone in on workflow and time management.. Practice and fun all in one! Because I'm not releasing it anywhere but here I'm going to try and get it done as fast as possible - whereas if I'm doing something that I will release - the whole start to...

    Opening and cleaning Maschine internals..

Oh cool.. Thanks for that @Fade. Yeah it was really doing my head in at the time, go to make a beat but can't cause shits jumping all over the place and pretty much having to punch some of the buttons to get a response. ;p Yea a lot of gunk gets caught in the grease that the knobs have on them...

Industry Make Money With Your Beats

Great resources Fade! Appreciate your work mate. Just signed up for Airbit as all I knew about was BeatStars before.. Don't have anything up yet on either yet but interested in the whole workings of it - more reading ahead! But I just got $1.12 for selling a song download on ReverbNation after...

    Opening and cleaning Maschine internals..

Hey.. Got a video I did ages ago about cleaning Maschine encoders after mine were jumping all over the place - sometimes without even being touched.. So if you want to do some general maintenance or you have a misbehaving Maschine, maybe give this a shot before moving it on. Hope there's some...

    Which DAW do you use?

Started doing all my work in Maschine when I first started making beats.. Then as my needs grew for automation, arrangement, audio manipulation I took on Ableton Live. Anybody use trackers back in the day..? ;)

    Vocal snippets/Samples.

@sammyquest Pssst.. There is a lot of old media hosted at archive.org - from webpages, video games to sound and video. It's a rather overwhelming amount of stuff there but it could very well house the gems you are searching for.. ;)
