    You can copyright everything as a "suite" or a collection so you do not have to pay $30 for each beat, just for the whole group and it will cover every beat individually. I have asked numerous musicians about this and they all say that it is cool to do it like that.

    Do u have to get a sample clearance before you copyright the work yourself? For example, if I have a song with a sample in it and have not used it commercially or made any money off of it, but I copyright it for my own protection, is that legal? peace

    my specific problem is cutting up the loops. When I cut some loops up the sound of the loop is jagged and doesn't work in different tempos. Im realizing though, that some loops are going to be like that anyway.
