    For you windows uses, I just switched to a progam called diskkeepers for defraging and I was blown away at how much of a diffrence it makes. Made everything run faster.

    Check out Sampltude basic. I always burn with that software. Cheapest version is under $100 worth every penny.

    logic is not proprietary at all. Any core audio device will work. PT is getting a bit better with there m-powered software. I would love to run RME hardware with PT however that would rock.

    I am a huge logic fan, but serious audio editing is still to complicated on logic. Both Nuendo and Pro tools are a bit better.
