U could try doin what Chedda said and then apply some SUSTAINING to it to make it more background, maybe you can get away with it then....It will be more part of tha whole song rather than its own part...I kno that may be not what yer goin for tho. -

For effects: Yer gonna wanna click on yer mixer, then go up to 'create' and before u select yer effect, i.e. - reverb...You wanna hold 'SHIFT' while you click tha effect in tha create list. (this will allow yer effect to not be auto routed.) Now u can hit 'TAB' and then route tha effect... -

Honestly, i dont like FL and i dont use it....I use Reason combined with Logic and Cubase.... Tho, i have problems usin Rewire cuz of my cpu strain. -

After recieving mine, i gotta say its still too much for beginners....I know jus about everything in this book already, but oh well - it was cheap. It is a well illustrated book tho and tha diagrams have plenty of detail to explain his routing suggestions....Id say if yer already pretty seasoned... -
