    Showcase - February 7-13, 2022

Here's my remix of Emskee's "Everyone in the Place" featuring Large Professor. Still needs a little iron here and there but you'll get the idea and vibe of the track. I'd like to get this one on a 7" with some others. I was also considering using the beat as an original too. Will see how it...

Hey @Sole Element . Hard at it and as interesting and obscure as always... The Now Effect - Love what you've done with this. You've made that vocal sit so nice under the beat. Drums are great. Snare hits lovely and kicks are perfect for it. Synths just cut through enough without overpowering...

    That's amazing!

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

Absolutely! I don't see alot of reviews but what I've seen have been very positive. I'll maybe even do a video or 2 if I get time.

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

Thanks again for all the comments and feedback. I'm glad I didn't invest in an MPD as everyone as stated how bad the pads are. I've just went ahead and purchased the MPC Studio. It arrives Monday.

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

I think everyone just finds what they're comfortable with. I tried Cubase years ago but I think because my House / Techno friends loved it I figured it was geared more towards that type of genre. So ended up on the FL trail.

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

Yes, that's my thinking. I spend alot of time fine tuning my samples. FL actually has "Declick in" and "Declick out" for all chops but I still find myself fine tuning that little bit more. Perhaps alot of MPC'ers make it look easier than it is but if it's half as easy as it appears in terms of...

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

So what you're saying is buy the Studio and let you know how it goes?

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

Thanks for the quick and in-depth replies you guys. Much appreciated! Thanks @OGBama I wasn't aware of Qrates. Looks really interesting. @thedreampolice Thanks. I know what you're saying regards the end result but I actually do get a buzz out of making music. I'm currently in the zone of "kids...

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

Hey guys, I've been browsing and getting involved, reading various comments across this site and an many others for too long now. I've been using FL Studio forever. Like literally forever. I'm reasonably comfortable with it. Too comfortable, probably. So I'm solely a sample based producer...

Hey @Memento Beats this isn't really my style but I think this is really nice and a really well executed remix. Will have a listen on headphones later but sounds well mixed and I think you'd be happy with the outcome. Nice work.

Hey @Hadoq Thanks for the info, details and the screenshot. I'm not sure how much automation most other hip hop producers use but I don't think it would be much. This looks almost like a House track because of the automation, filtering etc going on. I tend to stick with the blocks (if it's...

I relate to this on so many levels. Very close to my own situation.

@2GooD Productions not being lazy but I would echo pretty much everything @Hadoq said. I'd highly recommend not quantizing but don't force yourself into making it compulsory. Do whatever you think is needed for each individual beat. I prefer 'A New Age Rises' mainly because it's less busy and...

Brainstorm - "Journey To The Light"

Nice one @2GooD Productions ! Really diggin' what you've done with it. Didn't take you long either. I think I'd drop the vocal segment of it or maybe drop the drums when it comes in. It sounds just a little off / busy when it comes in - but that's just me nitpicking. It's still great with it...

For your first beat this is great. Just need to add a bit of variation. You could drop the vocal part of the sample and have a change up of the keys part for a verse..no point delving too deep but yea this is very good for your first beat. Nice one.

@Rah.sool This is quality from the get go. The sample intro with the cassette insert is a really nice touch. Got the drum break bang at it. The sample shines through at the right parts and is executed really well. THEN the bassline kicks in at 40 seconds and just takes it up another level. 10/10...

100%, thank you. It's a work in progress but I will change it up a bit in the chorus. I do have the electric notes cutting through, so might drop the main melody / guitar and have the electric riff with some added noise. Appreciate the feedback!
