Naw no doubt man. I wasnt saying its not possibly a dope software, im just hella picky. I use AudioHijack for getting samples from the net, etc however it looks like wiretap does a couple more things possibly. -

Naw...never heard of it. Is it open source? *oooooh, never mind looks like its 70 bucks. (The only thing i dont like about the way it looks is its "modular"....the application is split up into several floating windows from what I can see...) Im just picky and like a self-contained environment... -

wow so bg and pharrell gave it to nelly lol....
I gotta give it up to Pharrell on the beat tho fasho. Simple but maaad catchy. I like the way the 09 joint was mixed to. It def works, but its almost a little overkill after a while to me. Still it fits the vibe so it works. -

I do the exact same thing with the MP on my Q-Sliders. The main thing is to get a convincing scratch sample that works with this technique. Then u just gotta get used to coordinating the pitch bend with the note on/off action. -

Static in samples
Exactly, u just gotta use your best judgement and decide if its a throwaway sample or not. I usually never use a sample if its just too beat and battered. If its just "light static" then I let it ride and maybe eq some of it out later in the DAW. If its severe pops but only in a couple spots... -

I come across this all the time when I bring home new crates. Basically, if its absolutely horrible sounding like someone dragged a meat cleaver across it and then left it in the dirt for a week outside your essentially fucked and outa luck so just move on and choose a new sample even tho it... -
