These people online don't have an inside guy at the record company selling their beats, so they have to sell their stuff for cheap to make a buck. How about I put you in touch with someone at a managment company (name one on Wilshire Blvd.) and see their price go up fiftyfold. Yeah, I'm aware... -

Clearing Classical Compositions
If it's recorded by someone else, licensing is necessary. If your friend, or you pay some quartet to play Bach and you record it... then it's yours. I think that the pre-1923 statement applies to music, art and authors, but I'm not 100% positive if the author's families, who may have rights... -

Promotional Companies
They're not going to push you unless you come with money up front. Most of the "promotional companies" are radio "street team" people basically doing stuff on the side. They're probably tired from their normal job, and will just stand there and waste time on a corner where maybe 10-15 people... -
