    well the only thing I can think of is that a screw is loose possibly, I took my 3000 apart before to tighten up that whole panel the keeps the pad in place....??? I dunno but thats something to look at or check with akai on if still have your warranty.

    NOPE also check your mpc out real Quick..... press mode press pad 10 (other) then do you see a velocity curve... you can adjust your pads there... I never had a problem and this is my 3rd mpc...it works as good as other ones...unless you have some defect or something...
