    Hey Shutter, welcome to the site. First, you dont want to bounce your tracks to mp3 and then mix compressed audio together which will in turn be more compressed later since this will result in a loss of quality, so make sure to bounce your tracks out at at least 16/44.1 in wav or aiff format...

    I appreciate that sound when its used tastefully but I think its definitely being overused these days to the point where peoples tracks are practically destroyed and too fatiguing to listen to even before mastering compression/limiting has been applied.

    Compression is an absolutely useful tool but its also used based upon taste. I have friends that like to over-compress everything on purpose to get the effect that Chris is talkin about, whereas I prefer to use compression as well but often use it as sparingly as possible.

    This bill is a joke unfortunately. No public option, Insurance companies can still essentially deny patients but they get fined, its just a new hurdle for the insurance industry that will easily be taken over once again by greed. Im not impressed.
