Honestly, you need to pound the pavement a bit and make local contacts. Take beat CD's with you EVERYWHERE you go. You never know where you're going to run into a potential client. Rewiring to other applications (Recording Vocals etc)
The way I've used FL with Cubase is by using it as a multi-out VSTi. Kinda the same as rewiring it, but you don't always have to have the FL GUI running. -

That's one of the reasons I dumped my old hardware setup. Speed. I do miss my old gear, but I DON'T miss the sheer amount of space it took up in my house or the amount of pain I went through moving all of that shit.
