Privacy Policy

If you are an IllMuzik member, or just visiting our website, this policy applies to you.

When and how we collect data

Once you visit illmuzik.com, we are collecting data, both from data you provide us, and data that we collect automatically.

Types of data we collect

When you register (many of these help us identify spam registrations):

  • Your email address.
  • Gender (you can choose "unspecified" if you wish).
  • Date of birth.
  • Location.
  • Other optional details.
  • Your IP address.

How and why we use your data

To keep IllMuzik running

Login and authentication, remembering your settings, processing payments, hosting and back-end infrastructure.

Email Marketing (with your consent)

IllMuzik has a weekly newsletter that is sent to all of our members, if they have chosen to receive them. When you register at IllMuzik, there is a checkbox that notifies us you agree to be added to our list of emails we send our newsletter to.

You can easily opt out of receiving these newsletters (and any other Administrator emails) by clicking here and unchecking "receive site mailings".

Who we share your data with

We don't share, sell, or trade your data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

If you are a member, we retain all the information you have provided in your profile, as well as any posts you have made, and beats you have uploaded, indefinitely.

What rights you have over your account and your data

IllMuzik is built upon Xenforo forum software. As such, IllMuzik is a forum community whose main content is based around "threads" and "posts" created by various members. This enables a community discussion.

You have the right to request that your account be deleted. If you choose to have it deleted, we can delete it but some of your posts will remain. The Xenforo forum software will delete your account, but your posts will still be there and your username will then be marked as "guest". We can still manually delete those posts if you wish, you simply have to contact us.

Keep in mind that if you have created a "thread" (started a discussion), and we delete your post manually, it will delete the entire thread, and other members' messages. We can still delete your "thread" but please remember that it would be affecting other members and posts they have posted. If we still delete your "thread", each of your "threads" would have to be manually re-created in order to keep the posts of other members intact. This could take a long time, depending on how many "threads" you have created.

It is still your right to have your "threads" deleted, but again, please keep in mind how it would affect the other IllMuzik members and their content.
