I liked it, really good melody but was way too distorted.

Yeah this really stood out to me - proper vibe. REally fucking cool. I would definitely fave this on spotify.
Only thing that is off is the mix slightly, it feels like it's missing a kick drum. Musically and otherwise really quite cool. Did you play all those sounds???

@Iron Keys You know whats funny, I did not have much time to do this one so I went really quick n fast on it and did not have time to perfect it or anything and actually thought about the missing kick drum but still felt like the vibe was enough so did not concentrate on this. Also as you might have known I like to stand out with my beats. I don't wanna do the same thing over and over. Some might think it's a bad idea but to me it is part of my (very long) journey so I decided to go with Reggea based on this one.
As for the sounds no I did not play them all most are samples and chops. Glad you liked and thanks for the feedback, that's gold to me !
I'll post a link when I finish it maybe it'll be a gem after some work

Also, weird i place on my shit beat and when i take my time i never place.
I think there is something to be said for this.
I also think the quality of beats on ill is on a different level to when I first signed up at the start of 2022. Probably down to everyone upping their game and trying to compete at a level they see others reaching.
I know it's probably been 20 years with the voting system but wondered if there's even been an option to vote for your top 3? I really struggled to pick a winner and felt there was nothing in it really. Started looking at the smallest of nuances. Arguably 4 or 5 could have taken it. Worth noting even with almost 30 beats entered that there was no @2GooD Productions on this occasion.
